The Met Lounge, Peterborough | 21st November 2003

What an amazing evening. I spent the first half interviewing the band and the second half listening to some of the best music put on this earth. A fantastic display of musical talent was shown by “Are You Experienced? The lead singer/ guitarist is almost the splitting image of Jimi, and they even dress like the original “Experience”. The guitar playing would blow anyone away, and the crowd were absolutely loving it.

Old and young were seen singing and dancing away to classics, from “Foxy lady” (one of my favourites) to “All Along The Watchtower”. It blew me away as a tribute. It was like being at Woodstock seeing John the front man set his guitar on fire and entertaining the crowd with guitar solos that even Jimi himself would be impressed by.

Jimi Hendrix was truly a God on guitar, and Are You Experienced? are absolute angels. They make an excellent effort to keep Hendrix alive, and give all of the people who love the old music a good night out. One of the best performances I have seen of the band was the 21st. They seem to get better every time I see them, and they will be back in Peterborough Easter time 04’. Give them a listen…it’s worth it. Re-live the sixties with the most spectacular Jimi Hendrix tribute on this earth.
